Which of your competitors’ content is being shared the most? And why is that? Marketing Miner makes it easy to get bulk social media share data for your URL dataset.

Social Signals miner goes through your set of URLs, crawling each social network to find these URLs. This provides data on a number of shares and other social interactions that you can use for further content audit.

How to use Social Signals

You can use social signals primarily to analyze your content and determine which of your articles or other landing pages are being shared the most on social networks.

You can also spy on your competitors and get inspired by their most shared content on Facebook, Pinterest, or LinkedIn.

TIP: We recommend combining this tool with Content Analysis miner to find out why some articles are more shareable than others. The reasons for this can be different. This could be because of the more attractive title or the length of the article.

Start by clicking the Create report button and selecting Social Signals.

An even better option would be to insert the entire Sitemap (if you have it). To do so, click on the Import From URL section in the left sidebar.

In the next step, enter a list of URLs you want to analyze in bulk. There are several ways to do this. You can either enter the list manually, upload it from a file, or import your data from Google Analytics, Search Console, and Google Sheets.

You can also analyze all the URLs stored in your or competitor’s sitemap by selecting the Import Data from URL option and entering the sitemap URL to upload it.

Once the report is generated, you will be emailed the analyzed data.

You will see only the first 200 records of the total URLs in Marketing Miner’s dashboard. That is why we recommend that you download the report as an Excel file and then analyze the results directly in Excel.

Report data

Focus on the URL with the most social media shares. Then try to find out why those URLs were shared. And how you can use that to inspire your other activities. You can also use Content Analysis, which may be of help to you as well.
